At TransRockies, we don’t do anything halfway. And that includes pioneering the world’s greatest stage races.
Nearly 20 years ago we brought mountain bike stage racing to North America with the legendary 7-day TransRockies Challenge. Back then, our goal was to take riders on a grand adventure through spectacular landscapes. We designed a route using the most rugged, remote and beautiful terrain on the continent—the Canadian Rockies. Today, our renowned race organizers are turning their attention back to those same Rocky Mountains for another pioneering stage race we call the TransRockies Gravel Royale. And it has all the ingredients needed to become a legend in its own right.

Life’s too short to add just another gravel race to your calendar. At 4 days, 375km and 7000m in elevation gain, the TransRockies Gravel Royale is truly in a league of its own.
The views are endless, and the hills are teeming with wildlife. It’s an unforgettable journey of adventure, camaraderie and of course, bragging rights! It’s a friendly competition that winds its way through terrain tailor-made for testing limits and leaving racers in awe of their own abilities.
Days are spent with friends, racing past rugged mountain peaks, and over high mountain passes. Evenings are a chance to make new friends, and trade stories with old ones. All while enjoying the unique character of our host communities.

We’re here to support you every step of the way. Right from race registration to the finish line and beyond.
Here’s how it works. You register for the TransRockies Gravel Royale, train (beer is a great recovery drink, right?), show up on day one, race, make new friends, cross the finish line, then remember the experience for the rest of your life. That’s it! We’ll take care of the rest, so you can concentrate on the things that really matter. That’s what we do, and we’ve gotten pretty good at it over the last two decades.
We set up tents, cook the food, provide medical support, and more. That’s all included in the price of registration, but it doesn’t have to end there.
