TransRockies Gravel Royale will go ahead this summer!

Great news! Yesterday the government of British Columbia confirmed that the province will enter Step 3 of it’s Restart Plan, and also announced that a maximum outdoor group size of 5,000 people will be allowed under Step 3, which is the key detail that we have been waiting for to move forward confidently with TransRockies Gravel Royale (August 23-26), TransRockies Singletrack 6 (September 7-12), and Golden Ultra (September 17-19). British Columbia boasts one of the highest COVID-19 vaccination coverage rates in the world and has seen case and hospitalization numbers dropping rapidly in the last 2 months. The provincial government has now indicated that they welcome fully vaccinated travellers from outside of the province.

For US and International travellers, we are still waiting for a timeline from the Canadian government about when border restrictions will be eased for tourists. We are still optimistic that fully vaccinated international tourists will be able to attend our events in Canada, but we’re waiting for a firm timeline from the government with more certainty about when borders will open up. We expect more information in the next 3 weeks.

Registrants who wish to defer to the 2022 or 2023 event may do so by emailing registration@transrockies.com, or you can wait to see what happens with the border restrictions.

Registration spots are still available for TransRockies Gravel Royale and Singletrack 6. If you have cancelled or deferred your registration you can “un-cancel” by emailing registration@transrockies.com. Golden Ultra is sold-out, but you can join the waiting list by emailing registraiton@transrockies.com

Our 2021 BC events will be operating under a communicable disease safety plan in accordance with provincial guidelines. We will be updating this plan over the next month to ensure that we’re meeting the latest requirements and we’ll be in touch with more details at least 2 weeks in advance of each event, but we expect that events will be able to operate in a manner that at least resembles pre-pandemic operations, with some new precautions to prevent communicable disease which we expect to retain for the long term. We do ask that all participants arrive with proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours.

It’s been an extremely difficult 16 months and we’re so excited to finally welcome you back to in-person events. We’ve got “Highway to Hell” queued up on the sound system - see you soon!
